 Overberg Cross Country Log Hello XC pilot!
Well Gaynor has been flying hard in De Aar and rattled my cage by tying for first place last week with a total score of 600.
So of course I had to go out and fix that. A little adventure with Snork, the Overberg piglet, and I can sleep easy (for a while).
We went from bainskloof to pampoenfontein on Saturday and back again on Sunday.
Earl also blasted a flight from Dasklip to Tulbagh on Sunday in tricky conditions (the ridge was the rubbish-est air I've flown in this season).
Pete Wallenda actually took the day, by flying his Stratus to the end of the ridge (S) with me then turning and flying to Rhenosterhoek for 100km. Pity he's not an Overberg member.
Well it's good to know we may have SOME competition at the upcoming Gatskop. Sharpen your blades .. the battle is on!
(Incidentally, flights in red are done outside Western Cape, but only South African flights count)
