 Jeff Ayliffe - our Media Man The SA Ladies Paragliding Team is to have its own media man at the XC Open in Spain, in September.
With your help, Jeff Ayliffe will be covering the biggest SA Ladies Paragliding Team South Africa has ever fielded. As a Radio Talk personality, Jeff will be able to give the Team and our Sponsors sports news coverage on Radio 702 and Cape Talk. An awesome videographer and paraglider pilot himself, Jeff will be taking quality video footage of our ladies as they compete in this Marathon of the Skies combining it with interviews to find out what makes these women tick and why they love doing what they do. The program will be aired on TV. Jeff has negotiated 10-18 mins with Super Sport Adventure Zone allowing our sponsors full branding visibilty with no restrictions. The footage will also be aired on Kyk Net. In addition, Jeff Ayliffe will be taking photos for Newspaper and Magazine use for interested parties. Now for more about Jeff Ayliffe:  Jeff Ayliffe - Extreme Videographer Jeff has been around adventure sports since the age of 13, when he started packing parachutes for the skydivers of the Pietermaritzburg Parachute Club. He started jumping on his 16th birthday, and the sport became his life for the next 15 years. During this time, jeff also developed a love for rock climbing. Specialising in 4 and 8 way formation skydiving, Jeff was part of the South African team which competed in France and Brazil. As a result of being on the national team, he landed a full-time job as a sports presenter and music show presenter on Capital 604. During his time at 604, he did the sports reports on the drive shows, as well as the Weekend Breakfast Show, and a sunday evening show called 'Talking Sport'. Jeff was part of a team which won national titles in Canopy Relative Work in both 4 Way rotation and 8 way speed stacks, before turning his attention to instructing. He spent18 months in the USA, rock climbing at Hueco tanks and Joshua Tree, before taking time out to skydive at Perris Valley, California and Z-Hills, Florida. On his return to South Africa, he started 'Air-Time Adventures' with Andy Searle, teaching Accelarated Freefall in Pietermaritzburg, whilst working with Parachute Industries of South Africa in the R & D department. After moving to Cape Town in the mid 90's, Jeff started paragliding. He continued in radio, working on both sport and music shows for Cape Town's Good Hope FM, before moving to KFM. After about 5 years on both the sports desk and presenting music shows with KFM, Jeff moved to 567 Cape Talk, where he currently freelances as a sports presenter and 'outdoor-reports' host. He is still involved with climbing, paragliding recreationally, and is assisting with the setting up of sport freediving in the Western Cape, where he serves on the committee of freediving's governing body, AIDA- Africa. When taking a break, he will usually be found spearfishing at his favourite spots for the braai, or paragliding at his favourite sites on the Garden Route. Apart from the Cape Talk work, Jeff runs his Video Production company called 'Crosswind', and has been getting involved with numerous paragliding productions, promotional DVD work, corporate DVD's, and weddings. He has also started to do some contract work for the Afri Oceans Conservation Alliance', AOCA, who are heavily involved with conservation, education and awareness of sharks and all endangered marine life.
