Over the past two years, the V-Lux 1 has proven robust, handling my extreme sports pursuits magnificently.
Our partnership started in 2008, when Leica and Tudor sponsored me the V-Lux 1. I gave up my day job and set out to travel the world. For 15 months I hitch hiked and paraglided across Australia, my V-Lux 1 never far from my hands.
In 2010, Tudor Photographic asked me to try a small compact camera of another brand, but having become accustom to quality, I found it impossible to settle for anything less. | | | | | I keep reaching for my Leica because I know that I can trust it with my memories. | | |

| | Some of the nicest people in the world use Leica Cameras. In this convoy of five vehicles, there were FOUR Leica cameras. | | | On a recent 2010 desert trip across Australia, I was delighted to come across a group of five vehicles with four Leica cameras. How amazing is that!!! I was using the bigger V Lux 1 and the others had the new Leica Compact Series D-Lux 2, 3 and 4 The D Lux 4 is the premium compact camera of the three. It has a view finder accessory on top of the camera, a feature we found important in the harsh desert glare. The photographs from this little camera are amazing. The search is over.
I have been looking for a compact camera to compliment my much loved V Lux 1, a camera that will still give me exciting photographs and fit into my pocket. The D-Lux 4 does just that! Well done Leica !!
