WHEN WILL NEVIL'S STORY BE PUBLISHED IN DETAIL ON FLYGIRL?
Nevil's record flight will be released in detail on FLYGIRL once the majority of publications that have bought the story have gone to print and distribution. The following publications are running the story:
Cross Country Magazine is a 100 000 + subscription based publication. If you would like to read the first indepth story to hit the press, subscribe here and it will be in your post box by January. Six bumper pages of text with photo's and graphs, all of which I know you will enjoy - I did. Well done to Ed Ewing for such thorough questioning.
The Spanish paragliding magazine, Parapente Vuelo Libre, is printing the 500km World Record flight for our Spanish speaking pilots, thanks to Pedro Chapa. The Spanish story covers unique aspects of the flight not covered by Cross Country. I am amazed at how many different questions there are out there!
Go Fly, the South African Hang Gliding and Paragliding magazine will print Nevil's story in the April 2009 issue.

CROSS COUNTRY MAGAZINE
On 20 December, Flygirl had a marathon two hour telephone interview with Nevil, putting pages and pages of questions to him posed by Cross Country Magazine. The sadists! It was exhausting!! Cocking my head to hold the cellphone to my ear with my shoulder and typing his answers as he dictated was uncomfortable and slow.
To do my job more efficiently, I need a cellphone that can record telephone and face to face interviews. Until then, I am going to have learn to type faster!
