Living for the Moment - doing what I am passionate about ... NOW

Olympus Cameras
Tudor Photographic renewed their sponsorship for 2010, this year promoting Olympus Cameras and financially contributing to my new glider.  Tudor also presented me with the new Olympus Tough 6000 camera and an Olympus Photographers Jacket - both are simply awesome!  More about these two items in the coming weeks.

As part of their Olympus Stylus Tough campaign, soccer star Thabo Mngomeni  was photographed kicking the camera around the soccer field, by Craig Kolesky.  The Olympus campaign is promoting the Olympus Stylus Tough' outdoor adventure capabilities.

Wallendair

My thanks also go to South African Swing gliders dealers Pete Wallenda of Wallendair and Barry and Candice of Birdmen Paragliding for making it financially possible for me to buy this new top of the range Sports Class wing.

My Swing Astral 6 arrived a few days before the www.winelandsparagliding.co.za competition and took some getting used to. The first two task days were tough as I learned what it takes to fly this new high performance sports class  glider in a competition environment.  But like the little Olympus Stylus Tough, I am tough :-) and with the last two tasks came success.

The Swing Astral 6 and I reached Goal both days to finish 2nd Lady and 35th out of 77 pilots overall.  They tell me it often takes 40-50 flights to find synergy with a new wing when stepping up a class, however  my passion is long distance flying and maximum airtime so we should be a team by the end of the  XC Open World Series in Australia next month (January 2010).

DHV Test Reports - my max weight all up is around 95kg. Interesting the difference in these two test reports.

I definitely do NOT agree with the  DHV EN test report regarding Front Collapse and Big Ears Recovery

The DHV LTF Test Report is closer to my experiences.
